hydrological cycle Distillation is nature's way of purifying water. The sun heats water--water evaporates. Vapor rises from the surface of water, leaving behind all its impurities. When the temperature drops, the vapors change back to liquid which is pure H2O.

Using a home distiller is man's attempt to cope nature's form of water purification. This is how the distiller systems we carry work: In the boiling chamber of the distiller, tap water is heated to 212 degrees, killing bacteria and viruses. The heat produces steam, which rises, leaving behind inorganic minerals, chemicals and contaminants in the boiling tank. The light gases boil off and are discharged through the gaseous vent. A fan cools the steam in the stainless steel condenser , turning it into pure distilled water. This water passes from the condenser through an optional post carbon filter, and
the purified distilled water is collected in a reservoir.
